Practical UK Tax Accounting training: hands-on skills for work, career growth, or starting your own practice.
A hands-on, step-by-step UK Tax Accounting course that makes you job-ready by giving you the practical experience most qualifications don’t. You’ll learn the real workflows used in day-to-day tax work (and the related bookkeeping/accounting tasks), practise in accounting software, and work through real HMRC examples — including calculations, forms, and filings — so you know exactly what to do in practice, not just in theory.
It’s also built for people who want to go self-employed: we show you how to set up your tax practice, where to register, how to work with clients, how to attract your first clients, and how to manage your time and workload as you grow your own tax/accounting business.
Learn accounting skills you’ll actually use – not just the ones that help you pass an exam.

Hi, I’m Natalia!
I still remember the moment I decided to become an accountant. At first, I was full of enthusiasm — but quickly realised how hard it was to find training that offered more than boring theory.
I tried studying on my own, even enrolled in AAT (and quit soon after), worked in accounting firms, and volunteered just to gain experience. It was a messy, time-consuming and had no clear plan for my future.
I don’t want you to go through the same struggle.
Everything I learned on my way to building a successful accounting practice, I’ve combined into one clear programme — The Accounting Academy. Your path into accounting can be simple.
What our students say
Can you become an accountant or bookkeeper?
Who is it for?
Absolutely — this course is designed for anyone, regardless of knowledge, skills, education, or diplomas.
- Graduates of AAT, ACCA, CIMA or accounting degrees who still feel stuck.
- Students with no experience who want to break into accounting.
- Parents who need flexible work around family life.
- Ambitious people who want to run their own practice or work remotely.
This course is not a replacement for qualifications such as AAT, ACCA, CIMA, Level 3/4 diplomas, or other academic certifications.
If you already hold these, it’s a huge advantage — you’ll bring your theory with you. What this course aims to do is fill in the blanks by giving you the practical, job-ready training you didn’t get elsewhere.
If you don’t have any qualifications yet, don’t worry. After completing this course, you will still be able to legally open your own bookkeeping or accounting business in the UK. Also, apply for an accounting/bookkeeping job with real confidence.
It’s a hands-on programme that:
- Shows you the exact skills accountants and bookkeepers use with clients.
- Walks you step by step from beginner to confident professional.
- Equips you to serve clients, earn from your work, or launch your own practice.
